What's a custom event game?
A custom event game is a branded interactive installation built specifically for a brand activation, rather than a rented off-the-shelf game machine. The hardware (cabinet, sensor wall, projection surface, simulator) is fabricated for the campaign, and the game software (mechanic, UI, scoring, share-out, analytics) is engineered to the brand's brief. Instamedia builds these end-to-end from our Kuala Lumpur workshop.
How much does a custom event game cost in Malaysia?
Custom event games from Instamedia start at RM 8,000 for a standard interactive game (existing framework, rebranded). Custom branded builds with bespoke mechanics and branded fabrication start at RM 25,000. Bespoke flagship installations (full custom hardware plus software) are typically RM 60,000 and up, priced on brief. Rental of off-the-shelf game machines is a separate market and not what we do.
How long does it take to build a custom interactive game?
Standard interactive games (existing framework rebranded) ship in 1 to 2 weeks. Custom branded builds with new mechanics need 4 to 6 weeks. Bespoke flagship installations with custom cabinetry, sensors and software need 6 to 12 weeks. Lead time is set at the brief stage so we can plan around your activation date.

Can the game be customised to our brand?
Yes. The whole point of working with Instamedia is custom: the cabinet, the game mechanic, the UI, the audio, the prize or scoring logic, the share-out template and the analytics dashboard are all designed around your brand brief. Standard “logo on a rental unit” is not what we do, and it's not what premium activations need.
Do you provide on-site staff for the activation?
Yes. Every Instamedia activation includes on-site setup, brand-team training and a full-day operator across the live event. For multi-day activations and roadshows we provide trained operators across all days. Our team handles technical operations so your brand team can focus on guests, content and PR.
What kind of analytics do you provide?
Our proprietary IMX Engine™ dashboard tracks every interaction in real time: plays, dwell time, win or completion rate, shares, QR scans, lead captures, return plays and venue heat-maps where applicable. Real-time monitoring during the activation, full performance report within 48 hours of the event. Exportable to Excel or CSV for agency reporting.
Do you build custom event games for activations in Singapore?
Yes. Instamedia expanded operations to Singapore in June 2025. We design and engineer custom event games across both Malaysia and Singapore for premium brand activations, with full project management, on-site setup and post-event analytics in both markets.
